"Queen Esther's Choice" , a choreography by Laurel Victoria Gray, using movement vocabased on Persian Classical dance and Gray's "Silk Road Synthesis." The piece is inspired by the Old Testament story of the courageous, young Queen Esther who risked her life to plead with Persian King Ahasuerus on behalf of her people. It depicts the moment when, after 3 days of fasting, Esther's seven handmaidens dress her to appear her to appear before the King, knowing she risked her life by appearing unsummoned. The story is the basis of the spring holiday of Purim in the Old Testament.

This choreography is dedicated to all who bravely face Death in order to bring justice to the oppressed.
