@fatblackninja , I do enjoy Slipknot from time to time but really I don't enjoy his solos. I don't want to sound weird and there's probably a better word for it but Mic's solos have like no soul, they just sound like a bunch of strung together notes.

Two things you have to consider, Dimebag was great live, not always easy to do, in fact I've heard good guitarists completely skip solos because live is a completely different realm. The other consideration is that Brenden is not dedicated to just metal, he dabbles into many other styles, and is very good at all of them. So before you make your biased opinion, take those two things into consideration.

Not a good song choice for dime. Like. Mouth for war. Floods. And maybe suicide note part 2 better characterize him. For dethklok,  Best song choice. These are 2 of my favorite guitarists and pitting them against each other is evil, but I have to go with dime

so both are completely amazing but theirs a few minor details that make this too easy. Brendon smalls style for deathklok is based off of sweeping picking and pentatonic scales. Dime bag is fucking dime bag. You just cant beat floods. it is impossible because of all the diffrent variations and effects that dime bag mastered. Brendon small blows my mind but you cant beat the emotion that dime bag puts into his music. its like comparing apples and oranges. dime bag all day

Impossible comparison. Both guitarist play with an off the charts style. Neither ones badassness can be comprehended properly by the human brain. This cannot be decided. As neither guitarist competes for popularity, I must give my vote to both. I tell people to listen to all works by both Dime and Brendon Small.
