3 weeks later.

Jamie, Nick, Joe, Kevin, Megan and Mon all sat together in Kevin and Mons living room, talking casually, when the doorbell rang. Kevin got up to answer the door and smiled when he seen Rachel and Robbie, he moved aside to let them in and they all walked to the living room. Everyone said hello to them and Mon eyed them suspiciously because neither of them sat down they just stood close together smiling brilliantly. Everyone else imn the room also smiled because the happiness just radiated off of Robbie and Rachel.

Mon: am I missing something here?

*rach n robbie holdin hands*

Rach: guys...we have an announcement

Robbie: yea, really good news

*everybody looking at them with a smile wondering whats going on*

rach: we're engaged guys!

*she held out her hand to show off the ring. as everyone's face lit up with excitement and encouragement, Joes face went from a smile to an grimace with intensity, jealousy, and helplessness in his eyes. while everybody hugged rach n Robbie and congradulated them, Joe silently got up from his spot on the floor in front of Mon and quietly left the room. Rachel watched out of the corner of her eye, as Joe reacted exactly the way she both feared and hoped he would. There were sides warring inside of her, one was afraid of hurting Joe because he meant so much and had been a huge part of her life, the other sidewanted his rage, his jealousy, and his pain, because of what he had done to her almost 3 years ago, she had wanted him to feel the betrayal, but at the same time that very same side of her wanted him to fight for her, to state his claim and once again sweep her off her feet, but the way he walked out just now, looked like a sign of defeat on his part, she looked over to her right side and realized Robbie had also watched Joe leave so he was smiling even more then he had before, this made her angry. She wondered to herself if he really wanted to marry her, or if it was a agame and Joe was his competitor with her the prize. Slowly she let go of Robbies hand and told him she would be right back, as she set out to find joe.*


Nick seen the pain in his brothers eyes as he silently left the room, and it opened a sealing wound in his chest, as he looked over at Megan who was sitting at the other end of the room with Mon, and Jamie, all three of them smiles and excitement as they talked weddings and dresses, he laughed quietly to himself and wondered where things went wrong, where did he and Megan, and Rachel and joe go wrong? Once upon a time werent all of them happy with one another, Jamie too with Cash, the two of them had been radiant the day they had the twins, and now everything was falling apart, even mon and Kevin werent as strong as they once had been. Would it all get better? Or would they all have to spend the rest of their lives lost in the past and the regret of their former glory days. Nick decided then and there that he couldnt fix his brothers lives, but he could fix his own, nobody but he and mon knew that he had ended his relationship with Selena, for the simple fact that she was not his soul mate. She was not Megan. He got up from the couch he sat on and walked over to her silently, she felt him come up behind her and turned to smile up at him, this made the butterflies in his stomach react as they always had when she would smile at him, his heart took off and begun a race as he felt the heat radiate off her body, he looked down and took her hand in his own and gently tugged so she would stand and follow him to the backyard, he looked back and seen mon wink at him and then Jamie giggled both seeing the intensity in his eyes knowing what he was about to do.


Mon: omg omg omg!

Jamie: is he finally coming to his senses and taking her back?

Mon: I hope so, we had a long talk the other day, he broke up with Selena last week.

Jamie: finally. I mean she was so nice and sweet, and treated him so good, but she isnt our girl.

Mon: I know, I just hope Megan has come to HER senses as well and doesnt hurt Nick again, if she does I might have to call a hit out on our girl, Nicky is way to sensitive to have to go through that again.

Jamie: thats true poor kid, he spends too much of his time worrying about all the rest of us so he never has time to work on his life.

Mon: I told him that too, we are all adults, and we can take care of ourselves, but I guess its kind amy fault, I kinda rely on him too much for advice, Joe is always a mess, an I cant pry Kevin from Audrey or Kevys side long enough to talk to him ha. I swear he is obsessed with his kids.

Jamie: lucky, I can never even get ahold of cash when the kids want to talk to him, I guess its ok thogh Martin loves them to death.

Mon: I guess were both kinda lucky..
