I don't know why this took me so long to see, new job and all that. The thing is, my question what based on what he represents to others your answer was about what he is to you, specifically. Mr. Landis is hardly someone I would be wanting a character reference from in any shape or form.

@Beano38 Ultimately, in response to your question, yes it does. He may be a god of sorts to you, but he is a false god who has succeeded in cycling by cheating. To me he personifies everything corrupt within cycling. Now Floyd Landis has shone some light into how he actually cheated.

The fact remains that people have faith in Lance and he is a symbol of hope for many who would otherwise have none, so, if he lends hope and helps even 1 person remain strong through their fight with cancer, does that make them a muppet?
