Honda Civic 97' vs 08' Ford focus SE (Part3)

My boy's 97' Honda civic HX 2-door (5-spd) vs a focus (auto). The ford has the 2.0 140hp engine and 2 suitcases in the trunk no more than (combined)60lbs lightlypacked. Civic has baby (in the babyseat) and my friend's wife in the backseat and some stuff in the trunk. Civic is all stock, Focus is all stock and the civic has the 115hp sohc d16 original motor. Im driving the civic and he's driving the focus(dohc 2.0l 140hp). I give it a try and i figured out the worn clutch to still pull. It just shows how much potential the civic has even with only 115hp. You can see the civic continued to pull on the focus. 2nd gear slipped for about 1sec after i powershifted from 1st-2nd gear and this is why the focus for a sec looked like it was going to start catching up to the civic, once the clutch caught on, the civic started to pull again.

@ dikotine : hahah first off all it means a lot if the car is auto., like I said a 5 speed focus would rape ur ass and about u now having b16a haha well I already lost against one for about half a car and that was when I had -i/h/e. Now. As we speak I allready installed and intake manifold and a 75 shot of nitrous so I dont think u can even gonna see my tail light. Son ;)

@elkokekoke not really, look at stat sheets, of course manual is quicker, but even that depends on driver. scond this isnt my car, im the guy driving the civic in pt3, and pt4. but its my friend's civic not mines. i made the vids with my camera so i posted the vids. the intake manifold still dont net you enough power to play with that civic (with jap motor) the only thing that saves you is that 75shot of nitrous which brings me to my next point.... aint it sad you had to do all that

@elkokekoke just to get the same power as a 1.6liter honda motor?? thats pretty weak, and that 75shot of nitrous.... im not a fan of nitrous as i think its cheap power and speed and its just cheating cause its forcing temporary power, so your engine still only produces with all your mods, less than 160hp, u might be real close to 160, but for a 2.0 dohc, thts still pathetic, seeing that civic will still walk you, but only walk, but its still BONE STOCK with no mods and its a 1.6, you still fail!

haahah the focus autotragic r slow man ill race u anytime with my 08 + focus is 5 speed and i have i/h/e tune i allways pulled away from one of my buddys he has a 96 h22 prelude i/h/e pullies throttlebody

@elkokekoke when we continued to accelerate, the civic (with a worn slipping ass clutch cause through each gear i had about 1-2secds of clutch slippage ) showed no signs of submission and we know a focus stock is governed to 109mph. This civic now has a b16a2 from japan 167hp and its still (up to today) running stock and your telling me a 167hp honda 1.6liter on a 2047lbs chassis cant fuck with your focus?? lol, that car (especially with me driving) will rape you, over and over and over again!!

I've got an 08 Focus with a 5 speed and it would spank that Honda all day any day! A buddy of mine has an 08 Civic Si puttin 221 hp to the ground after a few mods and we took it to the streets and were neck and neck til I shifted into 4th at about 88mph and he started creepin away

@bkmrnoodles89 ps. your friend with the Si cant drive for shit, and you can. piss on him and kudos to you, however if i was driving his Si i would of raped your focus starting from the 1st mph, not 88mph, thats the difference, alot of honda drivers dont know how to drive them. they are special motors and must need to be know how to be driven. new m-3's are quicker than their mercedes c63 archrivals, u should be able to stay in front of the benz till at least 120-130mph

@dickotine: for real 167? ahhah to the crank maybe but just maybe man come on not even gsrs makes that to the wheels and yeah im arround 160 to the wheels and with the nos im will smoke u really bad and u say my engine is pathetic? u had to swap and engine to make ur car "faster" ahahh thats pathetic i mod the engine that my car came with end off story fucking ricer ahah stock for stock i would beat u and modded to get over it and get a new car ;)

I would've raced with only the driver on either car, both 5 speed(nothing in the trunk and no babies). From a dig and roll. Stock vs. stock focus wins(more torque).

@elkokekoke ok u ready?? the funny thing is, you forgot this is an economy version civic. you know... 1.5liter very close to 1.6liters in displacement, 125hp sohc motor with 12 valves. could be 16v but either way yes it weights 2047lbs vs the focus 27-2800lbs ish. i know the ford was an auto, but it still had the advantage with a 2.0dohc 140hp 138lbs ft of torwque motor. you would of thought it would of eventually caught up to the civic before its governor but nope

@bkmrnoodles89 u know how i know either your buddy cant drive for shit, or you dont know what your talkin about? i have an 06' Civic ex, and i run away from your little focus's alllll the time, even one time without even down shifting. no chance!!! my gears are taller, and my torque is flatter and pretty much the civic 06' is quicker, looks better, and drinks less gas, so either your buddy cant drive, or he wasnt racing you. simple as that
