1950's International R Model - idiling ATHS May 2009

Here is an International Harvester R model truck idiling. I believe it's a 50s R 200 model. It had a gas engine, and was in great condition. No other details are known on its specific engine or transmission. Too many trucks at the ATHS show in Huntsville AL on May 30, 2009 to get details on each one. Sorry the video is so short - my camera ran out of memory just after I started filming this truck!

I can't remember the model number because I was too young at the time, but a yellow IHC truck just like this one was used in the fire dept across from where I grew up in the early eighties. It was an eighteen-wheel pumper. I had a really short ride in it and I enjoyed watching the driver back it into the bay from my upstairs window. The most notable recollection was that the old truck backfired all the time, lol. Love the old trucks. The R series has always been my favorite. Sharp looking rigs

great grandpa used to have one like this a r180 but it was a gas burner. gota love them old IHs.what model is this one?
