@normalil Both women were beautiful and fashion setters. Both were uneducated. Both had a way with children and commoners. Both had Prince of Wales husbands who were openly unfaithful to them. Both busied themselves with charitable works. Both had a cast in one eye. Both were popular with the people. Diana died young, Alix lived to being her 80s.

@Quatorzel4 I do not know how you can compare Alex with Di! They are worlds apart. Charles is like Albert, in that he will not be appreciated until he is dead. Diana was a disaster in my opinion. (No offence inteded to you.)

@hovie234 Sadly, Alix was deaf and uneducated, hence out of her depth with "the smart set" and preoccupied with her children too much for the randy Edward to hold his interest for long. Like Diana, she buried her hurt in charitable works.

@roelevers1 Victoria was quite pretty when young. Perhaps 9 pregnancies aged her before her time. She was only 4'9", and even a little excess weight made her look older than she really was.
