I first heard this song as a kid in 1988 in one of those beach shops in Myrtle Beach, SC across from the Pavilion amusement park that's now no longer there. It's funny how songs like this stick in your mind very clearly as if it was yesterday i was there. My life has gone by too fast. So fast that i didn't get to live life as a kid hardly. :(

I didn't really mean a specific genre by 'product pop', I meant that, for better or worse, Nirvana, Soundgarden etc brought alternative music into the mainstream and, at that time, radios actually played music by people who wrote their own songs, played their own instruments and actually had real emotions to express. Product pop is just a general term applied to music authorised and controlled by corporate world who have no interest in art or sincerity.
