HiDef: Spring Brings the Circus Train, Rare and Nice Lashups to the NS Harrisburg Line

Warbonnets, Conrails, Ringling Brothers, foreign power, all admist the usual Canadian Pacific and Norfolk Southern trains of the NS Harrisburg Line. You'll see a lot in this spring sampler, and just a note, this video like many others I have uploaded, will all eventually be available on DVD. This is why I don't show full clips of trains, not to mention I am pressed for file-size time, but I like to keep you all entertained so I hope you enjoy what I do put up. A lashup of all ex-Conrails on 19G, misfortune would have it that the leader is black, when in fact it is rarer to see a black SD50 than a blue one, but still a nice trio of power for 2010.

That afternoon, 19G meets 33A, both of which have nice power. All units are running on 19G and units 1, 2, and 4 are running on 33A; included are a former Erie Lackwanna SD45-2 and an Allentown Yard hump slug-set.

Canadian Pacific train 165 (NS 31J) was right behind the circus train, and boy he had a nice trio of classic EMDs including a leaser.

Westbound empty ethanol 69Q speeds up after two 10 MPH restrictions, this was the third time we caught the train, and I figured I would share this clip because I dont get to this location often, but its a great spot. ALL four engines are running!

A very rare locomotive leads 14G, in fact, it is one of two of the fifteen former Conrail SD60s that is left in blue paint, a nice can-opener paint too!

So yeah, I know it has been awhile since I said I was going to release a DVD. Well, I have to get all this software figured out and being busy with other things and all that is what the major delay has been. "Four Seasons of Sand Patch" will be released first, and it is 97% editted, ready for release any moment now, followed by a NS Pittsburgh Line / Nittany Bald Eagle, and then the NS action from 2009 in seasons of Spring/ Early Summer and Late Summer/Fall. The following releases for 2010 should be of every season by it's lonesome.

@snazzyanimal2012 The gray railcar is a coil steel car, used for carrying rolls of sheet metal for various purposes, such as manufacturing automobile bodies. It has covers so the metal wont rust in the rain.

Excellent camera work and quality. This was a breath of fresh air considering all the 12 year old kids shakily filming trains with their Hi-8 cameras and feeling the need to loudly announce which trains are coming.
