  • It seems like a nice guide, but this work if a friend of mine is trying to reach the hard drive aswell. If he's logged into my hamachi network? We have tried the guide but he cannot find my map :/

    Help? :/

  • Did you allow permissions to be shared on your personal computer, and are you both on the same hamachi network?

  • Ahhh your tutorial is great , but it's said file path not found when i try to connect to my friesnd's shared folder,Could you help me with that? And yes he made it sharable+He is in my Hamachi network. Thank you, P.S please answer as a reply to this comment.

  • Sure, you have to make sure that his folder is fully shared and has the correct privileges for all people attempting to use it.

Also, make sure you're entering the correct address/location of the folder you wish to connect to.

Let me know if you still need some more help. Sorry about the delay.

  • hi a friend and i are trying to share files through hamachi he lives on east coast i live on west... he keeps getting this message Windows

    ---------------------------

The mapped network drive could not be created because the following error has occurred: No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept.

    ---------------------------

    OK

i followed all of your steps and i have VISTA

  • It's possible that your friends computer has too many active connections or his connection limit has been set too low to allow any more connections. There is a program on the internet that will allow you to open more ports and simultaneous connections, but it's slipping my mind right now.

  • It works perfectly! thanks for uploading! although, when ever i disconnect from hamachi, i have to restart my computer to access the drive. =)

  • Is it possible to map two drives at once? Like If I wanted to access my C Drive and My DVD drive at the same time?

  • @ThaRappa Nice tutorial! I am stuck at this point as well. Main PC (XP Pro) has shared folder mapped as a network drive. When I try to map a network drive on the 2nd PC (laptop w/ XP Home) I get that "Network path \\X.X.X.X\XXX could not be found". Any thoughts?
