ROBERT SPENCER is the director of Jihad Watch, a project of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, and the author of two New York Times bestsellers on Islamic jihad. Spencer has written seven books, ten monographs, and well over two hundred articles about jihad and Islamic terrorism. I sincerely hope you are being ironic. Muhammad (piss be upon him) was only tolerant and peaceful when he was surrounded by his enemies, namely in Mecca - 5000 pagans, polytheists, Jews who all showed him the contempt and mockery he deserved. When he left Mecca for Medina - the Hijra - predictably he became much less hospitable, where he ultimately consolidated the definition of "jihad" to mean "holy war". And guess who he declared holy war on...yes, the Meccans. War is peace!
