although said accurately, in physics, or any science for that matter, the metric system is used. so he should have said 9.8 meters per second per second and 193 kilometers per hour.

Which, if you watch the Actual S1 videos, means she probably hadn't reached that speed, also the scene does show about a 1.5 second deceleration (even though Supes reises to meet her, when he catches her he descendes for a bit). Given that Decel time Lois was never under more than about 3.5 G's, uncomfortable, but hardly life threatening. I think Lois, in her clearly adrenaline charged state, would have been fine.

Glad to see that there are other people who think about these things.
