Listening to these scores pisses me off because there are so many talented (and classically trained) composers that write their souls out in overachieving music for terrible films, and yet, inexperienced composers, with the help of orchestrators, get the higher profiles.
Producers! Hire this man for this year's next A-list Hollywood action movie and screw the "Remote Control" sound!

I've never been a big fan of movie scores, but his work was so distinct from the electronic keyboard schlock of most genre films that I came to recognize his talent at the drop of an opening credit.
I haven't the musical background to evaluate the technical quality between his projects, but one of my faves is the humorous, warm, lushness of the soundtrack for "Head of the Family".
Glad to see I'm not the only one who is a fan.
