Gareth Pugh (and His Nipple Clamp) Up Close and Personal

This season Gareth Pugh screened a video of his fall 2009 collection in Paris instead of putting on a runway show. New York fashion director Harriet Mays Powell chatted with Pugh after the screening. "By doing a video and not doing a show, that means we've been able to concentrate a lot more on what goes into the sale room," he said. "My clothes don't necessarily lend themselves that well to fashion shows." Watch the video to scope out his nipple-clamp necklace and find out how it sums up his clothes.

No, they're just educated enough not to have to resort to manual labor as a way of providing for themselves. However, designing clothes isn't just fun, its hard work. Most designers don't sleep often and stress out constantly to meet deadlines, and then you have to please your clientele and make money by marketing the product.

to tell the truth I AM a gay -Designer.

which does mean working with women and basically handling their bodies, i think thats sort of intimate and i always feel its some sort of duty to explain that im gay to them- since that may not be instantly evident. usually the reaction is, "well this is a professional setting anyway" but thats anyway AFTER going thru a war to GET a model because many girls dont trust "designers"

all designers are not gay iam a designer iam not gay its more gay doctors then designers ppl need to think its gay ppl in every profesion (sorry if i spelled it worng)
