The main ingredient of WD-40 is a thin oil; The oil displaces water, and also attracts dust and other containments. Live wires (I've yet to see any console that interfaces carts with 110/240vac hoho!) isn't the issue here,.. you don't want oil any contacts let alone a memory bus.
