  • Talk about bringing tears to the eyes! My father, Dave Doucette, is in this video, in the white shirt and black cap. He was the arranger for all their music and played lead harmonica, and took a lot of bites on the legs every night for decades. Along with being known as "Frenchie", he was also knick-named "The Pencil", because he wrote an average of 300 arrangements a year - not just for the Puleo Gang - but for harp acts all over the world, From Borrah Minnevitch to Toots Theilmans.

  • @frankmarqui Thanks for sharing your memories with us, best regards

  • My father was Frank Marquis and many years leading the Gang , taking most of the beatings from Johnny. They were Best of Friends. Uncle Johnny was Amazing when he would play Cozy Morleys at the Jersey Shore in Early 70's and would stop by my grandmothers house at 6th and Surf to see my Dad and Mom.We would play cards and he and my dad would play the Harmonicas in the back yard......God how i miss them all. What memories !!!i was truly blessed.

  • Really brings back the memories. Thanks for the post.
