I am fortunate to have lived while men of this caliber were around to deliver news. I wonder though, in generations past when a transcendental news presence retired or passed away...was it accompanied by this uneasy fear that present and future generations will be incapable of producing a man of similar merit? With our increasing reliance today on sound bites and shallow journalism, I think such a fear is justified.
