Fan Art is Art by all definitions. Can an artist really lock himself in a white room and come up with some thing completely new and original: can she make something new that relates to nothing else ever done before.

Humans shape their world through interpretation and imagination: creating or expanding their world and worlds that do not exist.

Originality and creativity doesn't mean starting from nothing.

A cook can't make a great dish with ingredients and sometimes he makes an even greater dish from great dishes.

It's something I've come to learn as time went by and my view of "originality" changed to "seeing it from their eyes."
