Quite possibly Danny DeVito's best performance. This clip takes place at the end of the movie between Phil and Bob. I recommend watching the whole film to truly appreciate the discussion about character and honesty.

  • DeVito's performance is simpy stunning! In my opinion, this is one of the finest scenes in American cinema.

Too bad most people have never seen this movie. This scene alone is full of so much truth, it's scary. I don't know many people who have such clarity of thought.

  • Of course even the name of a burger in Pulp Fiction, is a film reference.

  • Underrated and stirring film. Exellent performance by DeVito!

  • DeVito is spectacular in this part. His best in a serious role. Spacey is also spectacular in this movie. It is sad that most people will never see this movie. It is simply one of the best...equivalent to 12 angry men, or other greats.

  • DeVito's greatest scene. A truly great movie...one of the best dramas ever.

  • Devito's greatest scene. A truly great movie.

  • @wwwashab What a scummy thing to say.

  • This scene is amazing. However, one thing I've learned is that what Larry is talking about, that "character" that can only be borne from regret, is that what you regret has to feel like it was unquestionably the right decision at the time. And only later do you realize it was the entirely wrong decision. That is true regret, and that brings true character.

  • Love this movie and this scene. Few movies have this level of substance. Two thumbs way up!
