I used the same suggested CF adapter and a 64GB transend card and the system sees it as 'removable drive' and will not install windows, the cards data sheet says it supports fixed mode and the adapter was the model listed in the forums, any ideas on what i can do?

Nope the boot from CF is in the smaller video. Bootup time from CF may be faster, but the CF definitely starts Firefox faster.
