A physics-engine simulated Snake being, motorized by a BRAINZ neural network that receives sensor input. Each "cell" of the snake contains approximately 100 neurons and 1600 synapses. Each cell is bidirectionally connected to adjacent segments, forming a complete nervous system. The snake is aware of its environment via a) optic rays received by its eye, b) the sinusoidal 3D GPS position of each individual cell, and c) random stimulation. The neurons, and their changing activity, are visible inside each translucent cell.
