  • He must be omitting some information. When I double click the smart object icon on the top layer it does not open in camera raw as does his even though I am working with CS5 on a macbook pro. It simply opens a duplicate image. This seems more an ad for Wacom than a tutorial.

  • @haagensenpictures1 ok so its that quick selection tool i didnt know of. since what CS version is it there?

I still feel like the pen tool is the safer & smoother way.

  • @eladbari Because of how he have put his light sources. He said it himself that he creates sharp edges by putting up two light sources at each side on a 45 degree angle. Since the edges of the man is brighter than the background, it's easy to use the quick selection tool :)

  • I dont think he was going for sharp, he said he was creating "drama", nothing wrong with the use of his strobes.

  • he should learn how to use his strobes. the athlete is totaly not sharp...

  • Google WacomPro Dailymotion and you'll find it unfortunately YouTube won't let me send links!

Part 2 on Wacom's DailyMotion page, unfortunately I could not find a Vimeo version, I guess they forgot to upload this to YouTube.

  • @onmydesktop Actually on my last comment I said Ram is not that important and 4gb is enough, I should be more clear Ram is very important but for the majority of edits 4gb is enough however if you plan to edits files with 50+ layers and huge files then bigger Ram is a must! But the processor must be able to keep up!

  • @onmydesktop my college tutor owns a 13" macbook and her work is fantastic! She does say she has a iMac as well but you'll be amazed what the little macbooks cans do, however make sure you get macbook pro and a decent external hard drive internal hard drives really don't need to be that big. For photoshop all you need is 4gb Ram (any more is unnecessary for photoshop) and anything faster than 2.4GHZ which is standard for 13" but not for 15" - Prioritise Processing speed > graphics > Ram > HDD

  • does part 1 normally doesnt mean theres a part 2?

  • It's the quick selection tool in Photoshop CS5. You can use the refine edges tool too.

Not available in CS4 or before.
