Portishead amazing as always. Calling them trip hop puts them in a sub genre which they are much more than. I consider Portishead to be accomplished musicians and in a class of their own. Just like Radio head aren't really pop music. Portishead have always been a band that I have enjoyed listening to. I know that they will always have Bristol trip hop roots and that is cool but I just think they have grown up and away.

I absolutely love that in their live appearances they actually try to replicate the record rather than cheating and just pressing samples from time to time. Makes it so much more exciting!
