Thanks for posting this - Abandon Ship in it's Peel version is one of my very favourite recordings of all time. Like John I just can't understand why more people aren't going mad for this, and yet they will swoon over Joanna Newsom etc. Your recording sounds no better than my old tape from the radio. Lianne, if you read this, let's have 'The Peel Sessions' CD soon please.

@sonicbooomboy hello, yes i agree i don't know where there's so much fuss over lesser artists, but people will always disagree about that sort of thing. You're right this is from a cassette recording i did of the show, not sure if i have much more of Lianne's peel sessions but i'll keep going through my tapes. Shame that a label like Local Kid probably wouldn't be able to afford to buy the tapes off the Beeb, if only their archive becomes available like they've been promising for years ...
