From gate to gate, travelers will enjoy NextGens benefits through fewer delays, improved safety and a reduction in aviations environmental footprint. NextGen Gate to Gate takes viewers through a cross-country flight today, and then zooms into the not too distant future to show a similar flight using NextGen air traffic technologies. Produced by ATO Communications.

  • this idea is great, but not really new. and to be honest, the average pessenger wouldn't give that much responsebility to computers...

  • This is a very good and informative video!!

  • I thoroughly enjoyed watching this while being stuck on the tarmac for 6 hours

  • No mention of security, hmmm. Internet-based systems may be cheaper than proprietary systems but we *must* ensure that security is integrated into safety.

The ramifications of security breaches are scary as hell.

  • If anyone thinks that this system will be up and running in FULL in 10 years may be interested in a bridge that's for sale. The ASDE that was mentioned in the vid was supposed to be up and running at all major airports a few years ago. It still isn't up and running in FULL. How exactly will the planes fly through the weather better since right now, the pilots look at their onboard radar and say "No way..." sector suites were supposed to be working in '96-98. Guess where that went!

  • when is this movie coming out :D

  • 2:44 ghostbusters shirt ftw loL!

  • fly,n s the way to moovveee iiitt

  • freeze frame at 0:46. You see EVA Air and China Airlines on one screen. That scene filmed in Taiwan??
