The government's cost cutting measures by disposing off high fuel consumption cars could finally be taking off with permanent secretaries and other accounting officers expected to surrender their top range cars by tomorrow and pick up new ones. When our crew visited the CMC motors showroom in Nairobi, at least 58 Volkswagen Passat cars out of the 130 that were ordered by the government were being prepared for collection.
