@Mr00Snake Well, the only brand of blank tape I still run into is Wal-Mart's house brand. I can usually find them priced 10 for $8. If they still make tapes, Fuji made tapes that were excellent. Maxell second place. That's just my own experience though.
I think Philips is the only company still making VCRs, and they're combination VCRs and DVD players. I have a couple myself. If other companies are still making VCRs, I don't ever see them in stores.

Hey Mark, which brand do you consider the best manufacturer of VHS VCR's and Cassettes?

@dreamcastliveson Agreed.

@Baseley09 I currently collect videos in the following formats: 1) VHS (I have two decks), 2) CED (no players currently), 3) LaserDisc (6 players - 3 hooked up, 2 spares, and one out on loan), 4)VCD (Most DVD players and PCs will play them), 5) UMD (I don't have a PSP yet), 6) DVD (4 hooked up, 1 backup, plus my PC will play them).
This year I will add players for 7) Blu Ray, and 8) VHD. Strong possibility of adding 9) HD-DVD, and 10) Betamax as well.

Im going to make a database of my video game collection, i really like how the cards look but its much easier to query and sort a database. Thank you for bringing the idea to my attention!

@KieranD212 Whatever works for you. I like the physicality of the cards. Probably due to how long I've been around. When I was in High School our school computer used punch cards. :)

@cessnaace Yeah i also like the look and feel of the cards, you can just pull one out as needed but overall i find it easier to sort and search through a database. Different strokes for different folks i guess, i guess it also comes down to what you are familiar working with.

@KieranD212 I use online databases (LaserDisc Database; UMD Database; DVD Aficionado), but I use the cards too.
