shot with Beaulieu 4008 ZM 2 and XL2. Just a night test plus attempt to sync audio with out crystal sync. Conclusion: possible, but time consuming.

  • nice and sharp, who did the processing and what film did you use?

  • The 16x9 material is video from a XL2. The 4x3 pillar boxed stuff is super 8 transferred to miniDV by Mymovietransfer (dot) com.

The film stock was from Pro8mm and I believe it was the Pro8/85 - ASA 100D Reversal. But it's been a while so I'm not 100% on that.

  • What was the time consuming part you mentioned?

  • Basically the Beaulieu's 24 frames were actually not 24 frames so I had to cut out some on the silence between lines and sync it up to the mouth as best I could. Plus the noise of the Beaulieu is pick up by the shot gun mic. I think once I get some more money I'm going to get the camera modified with a sync motor.
