@anonymousQ45 yeah, it's too easy and too beautiful. It should be banned from music at all! LOL

incredibly easy piece why is it being played in concert

Sounds like the storm is running out of energy and going slow today

Of course, I know this Annees de pelerinage well--Book 1 of course. I am preparing 6 of the 9 pieces or so for a January 27 2010 recital. I know the "Orage" is stormy with its stormy octaves, but Cecile treats some of the octaves as staccatos. A thunderstorm's onslaught--not just the lightning and thunder--is the strong gusts of wind, so Cecile should focus on more pedal especially in those chromatic octave runs to make the "orage" more authentic--weatherwise.

I saw her bald patch -- it's right around 0:05. It is quite visible because her hair was quite oily here for some reason - maybe she was late for the concert and did not have time to shampoo her hair.

Very nice performance! I like the slower than usual tempo of Cecile. It'a pity that very few pianists use it. Thanks for sharing, mate. It's great to hear a favourite piece in new and exciting interpretation.

I see it as less of being "tentative", and more of treating the piece as something other than just random fast loud banging. If you're into that kind of playing, search for "handbangin orage".
