I want to know how everyone gets these realy nice fields with blacktop. We have 1500 foot grass full scale runway but would love blacktop but its so expensive.

This is actually our new field. The old one was closed when a new road was added to the park, and it paralleled the old field within 150 feet or so. Our club worked with the city and township, and they agreed to install all of the blacktop, which included runway, taxiway, work area, and parking for 30 cars. Our club paid for the new shelter. It was a sweet deal because they could have just said, "too bad, so sad..." and we would have been left with nothing.
