politics have been rife with keywords or common words for...ever. obama used "change" previously and is using "headwinds" as a common term to show his perception of why the economy is not progressing. and this is a campaign ad so it will show exactly what the editor wants. isnt it wonderful what iMovie can do?

Sailboats. That went obsolete 150 years ago. When you wanted to go from point "A" to point "B" The wind can be behind you (great), to the side (okay), or coming directly at you (still doable).
You can just say "problem" instead of headwind, but headwind sounds a lot better. The only issue with saying headwind, is that you can go forward by tacking back and forth. A headwind is not a show-stopper to sailboats.
