Having lived with primary breast cancer for 47 years and had a double mastectomy, 86-year-old Win Wyatt's story is an inspiration to anyone who has experienced breast cancer.

Diagnosed when there was no support available, Win managed to come to terms with her illness and to lead a normal life, while also actively involving herself in working for Breast Cancer Care, www.breastcancercare.org.uk/.

  • Win's story is very inspirational - I will share it with local residents in Westminster at community events. I have posted a video below. It is not as heart felt as this one, but hopefully it may help any health professionals watching about some of the barriers to screening we have found out about in Westminster.

  • @nhswestminster Thank you for your comments. Your video is very interesting, exploring the reasons people don't take up cancer screening and other services.

  • Beautiful Inspiration....May we all be so blessed in life, to find hope always for life is truly what you make it and the positive that comes is from sharing kindness and love to all. As watched this I had tears come to my eyes , tears of joy to see so much positive, so much kindness.

  • 31harleyboy, who are you ?

  • It's my grandmother, too. A total legend and a huge inspiration. Still weird hearing her say the word "boob", though.

    RIP.

  • It's my grandmother. She was a wonderful lady. :-)

  • Go ladY! your story is amazing im glad u recoverd! R.I.P mum :'( sorry you dnt make it )':

  • What a beautful story. It made me cry with happiness. I'm waiting for a single or double mastectomy but it hasn't sunk in yet. I'm trying to see enough videos to normalise it and also talking about it to everyone so it just seems part of life and not a big deal.
