ballet is very diff than chinese dance. chinese focus on hands a lot. plz dont compare.

Don't know if any ancient Chinese ever use a little piece of 'wood' as 'handles' when they are trained. But as i know, Flamenco dancers has barre work as warm-ups too. Are they dancing ballet too? It's just a little exercise for you to move your body a little bit. starting from 3:00, they talked about a typical Classical turn. Do we have it in ballet too?

This is only very basic training for little dancers. When dancers get older, more and more Classical Techniques will be incorporated as basic trainings. like how we breathe, how we use our waist, our hands and our fingers. well.... we turn too, but we turn in different ways. search Taoli cup and you will see we didnt try to 'steal' ballet techniques. Chinese Classical and ballet, r equally beautiful, but in different ways... you know.

It maybe classical chinese dancing, but one cannot help but notice the very western influences such as the ballet barre and the ballet attire.
