I really miss these old school animes with this style. Stuff like this, Mobile Suit Gundam and Saint Seya are all examples. I really miss the old stuff, no matter how good looking the new ones are Y.Y I mean, I love them, but you're never going to get the same sense you do with the old stuff. All these new animes have fangirls/boys that will go, "WTF, u dont liek it, then FUK OFF" These old ones never had that. Maybe its the changing times, but the fact stays the same. The old stuff was amazing.

This is one of the most harmonically complex modern pieces of music that i've ever heard, i'm still trying to figure out the reasoning behind all the scale changes. I just can't understand how so many insane jumps that disregard any "normal" harmony guidelines can sound so beautiful. This is a masterpiece.

@LittleNekoAlchemist really it's just a basic economy perspective. Quantity usually doesn't equate to quality, and in this case i am referring to fans of anime.

@LittleNekoAlchemist The problem wasn't necessarily the way people can be assholes about any sort of critic, back when Record of Lodoss wars (the original series) was out, anime wasn't nearly as popular as it is today in the united states. In fact you were hard pressed to find anime anywhere except comic book stores, or hobby shops. Now you can find them in any multimedia store or electronics store. Long story short,the bigger the population of people liking something the more assholes there are

@SZDarkhack Yoko Kanno is an amazing and clever composer. Most of the more complex and compelling anime themes of that time tend to be her work. Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop, Macross Plus are just a few of my favs!
