I'm no glossy eyed retard, but he just limited federal salaries, and put a moratorium on lobbying amongst his own staff. That's pretty cool, and he hasn't even started signing bills yet. He's already exceeded the extremely low expectations I have, but hey, give him a chance to fail. Bush was failing long before he was president, and was still given many chances.

I think everyone thinks he's going to change things for the better based on the fact that bush was THAT BAD. But also because he is different, not only in the colour of his skin but his fundemental beliefs. Bush comes from a corporate backround, oil, daddy was president ect where as obama comes from a humble backround and has grafted his was to the top, studying human rights and civil liberties, he is seen as a man of the people.Give the guy a chance, who knows he just might change the world.
