@GMurphSC06GT try upgrading the fuel system with the GT500 fuel system....the car should be fine up to 500 hp

I just got the edelbrock 90mm mass air flow and filter,it was on back order for a few month's,now I am running 470rwhp with the 7lb pulley ,with comp cams,jba header's,pypes high flow cats,and magnapack muffler's.It's a beast for an automatic,it smokesem at 40 mph.My mechanic at the speed shop said anything close to 500 at the wheels and im taking a huge risk of blowing the bottom end out,is this true ???

I have done some modifications and did another dyno run. With the 7lb pulley I am now pulling 446 rwhp/417fptq which is calculated to 525hp at the crank. This is with GT500 fuel system upgrades and JBA headers.

When you got the 7lb pulley you had to upgrade the fuel system? How much were those components and what did it consist of? I have a 09 gt with JBA T/C coated headers,diablo sport tune/airaid CAI (set up for offroad) 3' magnaflow cat-back w/magnapacks. I have this kit on order but I think the 5lb pulley isn't going to be enough for me. Im also going to switch to JBA long tubes and off road x when its compleated, cant wait!

@texasbradley Yes, I upgraded to the GT500 fuel pumps, it is 2 pumps each with their own driver. Better than the Vortech doubled up pump solution.

That alright 390rwhp but my question is why do all You Tube videos show dynoing with the hood open? So I take it we all drive down the street with the hood open!
To get real HP numbers hood should always be closed. Dyno shops have proven up tp a 6hp diff between open & closed hood on the dyno's. so tune your cars with hood closed.

The dyno requires that they tap into the vacuum line so that may be tricky with the hood closed. I am sure you can also say that driving gives wind resistance too so it isn't going to be a perfect representation.

JBA Headers, Magnaflow Cat-Back exhaust. The blower comes with 41lb injectors and colder spark plugs.
