  • Excellent. Always nice to see someone giving hints on soldering and etc. I've done a few of these using the smaller flashlight from Harbor Freight, but dang it's hard to get those LED lights out, lots of destruction, lol. Cheers!

  • @steeljan If you use a highlighter, you can knock the led assembly forward and out of the body easy.. I should of shown that but i wanted to do as much prep as i could to keep the vid as close to ten or less..

  • @steeljan Hmm, silver solder you say, I was thinking of trying aluminualoy on one, because i was looking to double the size with wise as to get a even longer lasting pv, but ill give that another shot.

  • awesome. Do you order more mod stuff from GP or Madvapes. I'm getting ready to put an order in today. Thanks again man

  • @peacepipe215 I order my most of my switches, connectors, regulators, and if i were to need leds or resistors from gp, madvapes i love the batt boxes they have, and as far as bodys, i go all over for them. Wire i have on hand due to being a electrican.

  • @peacepipe215 Now a days i tend to order more from madvapes, since gp is no longer seeming to be interested in mod gear..

    Just a update

  • I sent you a message about buying one of these, so please check your inbox.

  • @tek413 Ah, I repair band instruments for friends, so I have that fat high-temperature silver solder, rosin, and a torch, pretty much what you can find at a hardware store. I use it to solder/weld back on spit valves and etc on trumpets, french horns, etc. My welder buddy sneered at my messing with aluminum, told me it's not safe to mess with at high heat. Oh well, I'm just modding for funzies, lol. Cheers!

  • @tek413 I'll try that. What I've been doing is I put the handle of my small tack hammer inside and whack it with my regular hammer until the assembly pops out. On one of my mods, I used two of these flashlights, cut them in half with my pipe cutters, filed one of them down until it press-fit into the other, silver-soldered, sanded smooth. This way, I could put the atty connector into one of the end-pieces, a penny fits perfectly into the end switch hole after prying the switch out. Nice.

  • how did you remove the lens, LEDs from the front of the flashlight? I found the flashlight Harbor Freight is selling them for 1.99 for 2 and I bought 4 just in case I screw up on the mod but How do you remove the front lens?

  • thanks boss for this great tutorial =)

  • that is some insane amount of vapor
