That Advert just majorly.........SUCKS!!! Badly designed (graphics looks a mess), Bad Photo choices and badly laid out, also unrealistic promises (10k per month!!!...after how long 10 years in the business?!!)
I recon he must have got an advertising company to do this for him, because there is no way a self respecting professional photographer would do this to himself !
Good spot (will be watching for bad adverts from now on) - cheers Dom!

Its annoying with Pro Photo because most of the pros have already written the article on their blogs a few weeks before pro photo is printed...

@chloejasminew really? how cool!

@AndyBJ - go for it.
There are gong to be major ups and downs but it is worth it in the end. There is Dom vid where he goes on about not giving up a job for a career in photography - b0ll0x!!! Okay I was forced into because I lost my job but if you put your mind to it you can easily earn £35k pa. My goal this year is £50k gross profit - but I am a driven (business) man so I aim high!!! If I don't hit it it won't be through lack of trying - trust me!!
Go for it AndyBJ!!

@antfirmin - it says 10K per month. I agree decent money is clearly achievable if you develop a good strategy so I will respect anyone who is successful, good on em! I accept his proposal has to be eye catching, so you have to make these claims. Also I accept every one who wants to teach has to compete with tons of other photographers, so fair play.
I've just got to go out and get it myself!!! Cheers Andy.

lol we are so a like when it comes to stuff like this. i would have never used that photo but it could have been a print problem with the magazine.

@JD95 I just looked at the pic and it is BAD!! My guess is that the photo is fine and its either been screwed up at the proofing/printing stage. He'll probably get a shed load of free ads if it is the mag!!

@AndyBJ - its actually an extra 10K per year and there are 10 modules = 100k and thats turnover, not profit. I am implementing one of the modules every 2 months (setting up a solid business strategy) and I am seeing returns - and it is achievable. But you have to work at it and sell. Just having a web site is not enough - you have to get your bum in gear, go out there and get it!!!
Mark Cleghorn is only saying what all the others are saying. £100k pa in 2.5 years?? Easy!!

you right, really shit ! i see that pic in magazine i got same issue but i think its only print went wrong
That image sucks the big one!!
I subscribe to his training and have learned a huge amount from the vids posted, a huge amount!! I have also just been on his weddings course and for 2 days at £300 was great value.
The 10K a month is achievable - but you have to do what he says, which, before you wince and moan about him, is only the same as Annabel Williams et al tell you. You have to go out there and be a business-person/sales-person first and a photographer second and you can do it, I am!!

@antfirmin brill thanks for your insight. Being a sucessful photographer really does depend on being a brilliant buisness man.

I agree the Cleghorn advert is awful in every respect, but am I the only one who finds it strange that Lovegrove/Cleghorn/Boggio/Casey and others get paid to write what is effectively a multi-page advertorial for their respective businesses in every issue?! I was sure they must have had a personal stake in the publisher but have been assured they have not. 10 out of 10 for their respective marketing strategies!!
