mmm an optical illusion is just one that is deceptive or misleading. In this case, it is misleading because we think that the person is actually growing and we don't know how that happens. SO it IS AN ILLUSION sorry

We studied this illusion in psych. It happens because the right corner is twice as far, and twice as big as the laft corner so they both give the same image on the retina and coz our brains mantain shape constancy over size constancy, the people appear to shrink when they get smaller on the retinal image

the rooms is sick what they do is have a really high roof to give you the elusion of looking smaller then the other side the roof is narrowed down with an upward slant on the "smaller" side giving the illusion of one fgure looking bigger then the other. Psych 100 :D

nice! this proves that you can not actually see 3D on a computer screen :D. but than again, this illusion also works in reallity. Stupid brain of mine!
not an illusion, this is an actual room with no special effects. The room is just disproportionate. I am just recording the tv that is on a delay so you can watch yourself afterwards
