A look at the scandal of people getting County Court Judgments, but the UK law is so sh1t that most of the time, despite winning such a judgment, people cannot get them enforced to collect what is due to them. This is not exclusive to crooked builders as the article suggests.

Recorded from BBC Breakfast, 28 January 2011.

  • the biggest scam running is when a person appoints court enforcement officers to levy on the debtor, they simply drive by the debtors residence then write the creditor saying they were unsuccsesful sometimes even say the debtor has refused to pay in the past so there wont be any chance of enforcement, then they keep writing you endless invoices to pay them the enforcent fee under £100.

If they cant be botheres to enforce £5000 judgment, wat make them think they going to get a free drink

  • An unsatisfied CCJ effects your credit rating if you are a private individual. For a period of time.At present 6 years.Check the courts for more info.I would like to hear from some people who have sucessfully avoided paying ccj's. It's true that some people just can not pay, especially if they have lost their business due to the economic climate, and can not find a job.

  • So if we don't pay our debts and then don't answer the door there's not a lot they can do about it. Hahahahaha
