Inspired by MzCJA, I put together herbs that are known to have astringent & emollient properties, some with one or the other or both to gently clean my over sebum/oil producing scalp. What I used are

1/2 teaspoon of each of the following dried herbs:
Thyme
Comfrey root
Comfrey leaf
Patchouli
Nettle
Chamomile flowers
Burdock root
Marigold flower also known as Calendula
Horsetail also known as Shavegrass
Hibiscus flowers
Marshmallow root
Coltsfoot
Rose buds
Irish Moss
White Willow Bark
Fenugreek Seed Powder
2 cups Aloe Vera Juice
1 tsp of Lavender flowers dried
A few drops of cedarwood essential oil

Right now while I'm using this every other day sometimes every 3 days on my scalp, massaging it in then doing a long rinse in the shower. My scalp feels cleansed but not stripped. I've found to keep the itches and flakes under control I must cleanse my scalp at least every 5 days. It's been almost 1 month sense using this formula and I'm very pleased with the results.

  • Why am I just now seeing this great video?? (Better late than never!) Be sure to press the air out of your bags of herbs. To keep their potency, store each bag in a ziplock bag. Just put the whole bag (pressed) into a ziploc bag and store in a dry, dark place!

    Great video. Saved to playlist.

  • @GetTheLook2010 Aww, thank u and thanks a bunch for the tip! Lovin those shoes in your avatar!

  • do you need to use the aloe or what can you use beside that if you havent got it thanks love your vid

  • @rose500 Thanks! U can use whatever you think your scalp needs. Right now I've replaced the aloe with apple cider vinegar. I had stopped using this mix for a while out of laziness and my scalp has flared up again. Once I get it back under control, I'll taper off the ACV to maybe once a week usage and use the brew with water for the second washing during the week. After this vid, I have found aloe in a powder form so I dissolve approx 1/4 teaspoon in water making an aloe juice.

  • @rose500 If you've got essential oils like rosemary, lemongrass, sage you could use those in water instead of the aloe. Make sure to check to see if you might be sensitive to those EOs esp the rosemary & sage. Also letting the brew steep for a longer period of time will result in more of the good stuff coming out of the plant material.

  • if you know any pagans or wiccans they can imbue these mixtures with magickal properties and make them work better :)
