  • Hey i have seen abuch your videos and was wondering if you could tell me how to cut out the holes for the windows? thanks, cant wait for the next vid!

  • @philiptrekfan I use small a hole punch found at a hardware store. The demostration is somewhere in my vids of the refit, number 7 or 8 I think.

  • Congrats on your wins man! You deserve it! I wish I could see it in person. Maybe on day when I take a road trip I might have to stop by to check it out :) You mentioned in your last NX video that the Refit had issues with light leaks but I thought I rememberd you "bondoing" the edges of the saucer section before paint? When watching your videos I didn't notice anything. Anyhow great job~ can't wait to see it completed. A great touch to the base of the refit, I'm glad you gave us an update on it

  • @SVPrelude Thanks, no the finished product was void of light leaks, but they were not easy to correct. This one will be much simpler

  • Congrats on your wins. You have inspired me from watching your videos of the 1701-A build. I have started mine and will be finished in a couple of months. The light kit had a problem and had to send it back for repair. I also have the NX-01 kit as well but one thing at a time. I love your work and I'm happy to follow suite. I have added the shields up display with the new stand that Trekmodeler has. Thank you for the build videos please keep up the good work.

  • damn man- I see your vids, and then the revisit on your 1/350 refit and then I look over at my own 1/350 still only partially assembled, and it is so overwhelming! I'm looking forward to getting back into the challange of building her, just as soon as I can clear up the space needed in the basement- post holidays, and a little pre spring cleaning! damn good job- the base looks fantastic- good luck onyour nx build- will keep up on that, and hope she turns out as great as your refit!

  • @helipiolt27 thanks I have had trouble with cutting out windows before

  • Nice work so far. I have one of these about half way done, and I did a lot of the mods you talked about. The big difference is that I did not purchase a light kit but did everything myself. I stopped working on it about a year ago due to a contest and I haven't picked her back up yet.

The real tricky part that slowed me down was the seams on the warp nacelles. Probably the worst ones on the model. Most build ups of this model I have seen just ignore them.

    I agree paint last!

  • Have you ever just wanted to explore the corridors of a Constitution class refit? Well you can if you have minecraft. :D 1 to1 scale replica (albeit square blocks round holes). 21 decks of pure joy.

  • THUMBS UP!

  • Dude, you were right about the clear red on the deflector LED. Man that makes such a difference! That's awesome!
