You know, I used to make fun of people who treat their dogs as if they are more than just pets or animals. But after having raised Sadie, I now understand why people treat their dogs with such intensity and care. Sometimes we feel like we're raising a child who just happens to be covered in hair...rather than just a regular pooch.
