Vladislav Starewicz was born in Vilna (Russian Empire, now Vilnius, Lithuania], a graduate of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. He began making films about the puppet 1911 (see 'The most kinematograficheskogo operator'), he emigrated to France in 1920 and it continued to develop his technique for plastic animation with his two daughters, Irene and Nina Starewicz stars, the birth name of Jeanne Starewicz. he, with his daughter in front of and behind the camera, working articulated puppets are built with extraordinary precision, with features that can be changed at will ( with stop-motion) to produce any desired expression, and dressed with great attention to detail. He shot a hard, frame by frame, and produced some of the most fabulous characters of fairy tales and stories have ever seen on screen.
