I never said Tesla was for home purposes, never said I compared it to consumer cards.

I said that AMD is not high-tech enough to build a processing unit that outperforms the Tesla (AMD has non-consumer products too - just saying, before you start splitting hairs again) which means nVidia is far more advanced. End of story.

I built a rig in notepad with not one but FOUR TESLA CARDS and it was only 2k USD more expensive than the already 10+ thousand dollar MAC PRO which if you think was made for federal physics labs (metaphorically speaking) with a fucking ATI 5770 card (roflmao) then I'm sorry, you're mistaken. :)

@sageyash it demonstrates the way GPUs differ from CPUs regarding calculations.

CPUs do one at a time (which is why multi-core CPUs are so fancied) while GPUs are far more effective than that.
