They were really one of the very best bands of the alternative 80s, and often overlooked. Richard Butler is, IMO, one of the best singer/songwriters that rock has produced, but he got so associated with mid-80s vibe (Pretty in Pink), that I think he gets overlooked for his tremendous abilities.

And the Furs had a great sound, right from the first post-punk album....

the 80's were the best---if i knew then what i know now......................every song i hear from the 80's brings another to mind....----thompson twins, simple minds, PiL, oingo boingo, the fixx, add some more folks!!!!!!
