@TheSummerService or it's a sampler set up with drum sounds... same end result.

@cahawks it's a drum machine; mimics drum sounds by hitting the pad, obviously having a more computerised sound than tong can achieve on his acoustic set. So yes, basically back up drums.

@posh915 since i posted that comment ive gone much deeper into bloc partys work and i now love almost all their songs. My ipod is now loaded with Bloc Party and Kele's solo work. Its awesome.
