  • Harket held a note for 20.2 seconds in a-ha's 2000 song "Summer Moved On", believed to be the longest note in UK chart history. His vocal range is known to span five octaves, which is unusually high for a male singer.

  • Thanks for this!!

  • @Shadowglimt in fact he said in an interview that he never counted that,so I dont know how can we know his vocal range..

  • @59211bart But its incorrect.. It's 20,3 seconds, and he can reach a little over 4 octavs. By saying 4 octavs, we also count the falsetto. I've never heard him do over 4 octavs before, in any of his songs, and I've heard a documentary about him that its a little over 4 octavs so. Well I'm only 17 years old, I'm a big a-ha fan, been that for 9 years alredy, and even I can reach over 4 octavs.. the big thing is that Morten's high notes is god damn powerfull!!

  • Morten is just compared to Freddie Mercury and Mariah Carrey, because they have the same number of octaves in his voice! Do Harket great selection of voices from baritone to falsetto.

  • Beautiful song!

  • dude, that's cause he's going in falsetto..

  • 5 octaves? Not likely, where have you heard that? Great singers/vocalists likeFreddie Mercury or Bobby McFerrin "only" had 4 1/2 so i strongly doubt that Harket has 5...

  • es ist zu schön um wahr zu sein.

    A-HA a-ha A-HA for EVER and ever.

einzigartig dieser auftritt. super super toll !!!

  • Yep. Also, i think he broke a record with holding that long note on a studio album for Summer Moved On. Not sure what book he is in. Maybe Guiness. There's a great performance from i think 2001 at Rock im Park of this song.
