Singer's bobbins are not good, They have never been good, my grandma complained and tones of people are complaining.
They didn't change the bobbin since the first Singer maybe.
There are machines that the bobbin is easier to pu, they have a hole in the middle and they don't ruin our projects.
I'm done with Singer.

Dear Kite:
The problem with your sewing machine is THE TIMMING..
You need to take it to the shop ..
Don't try to repair it yourself..!! It must be done by an expert.
Sincerelly yours.

Did you ever get it fixed??? I still can't get mine to work and I have the same problem with my singer CG590. It is very frustrating,

try closing the top and then spin the wheel the other way.

dvdigitalcouk — March 28, 2008 — Hook Timing 2 look up this guys video its very similar to what i was trying to explain ... its very visual ,,, it might be .3 but your book says .5 witch it paper thin.. once you have the needle above the eye try to slide a pice a paper trough it should nearly make it trough , with out loosing your setting's make sure to tighten everything ,, and your machine should totally work ,,
The timing was off on the machine and it would have cost me more money to fix it than to buy a new one. So, I bought a Brother CS6000 (it only cost $60) and I like it a lot better than my old machine. It is much easier to use since it is computerized. I've had it for 3 years and it still works great.
