@1965CAPTKIRK maybe you can't understand how serious this job is. If you fly with an airplane and the airplane get damaged those "servants" will help you find your way out and save yourself! They also give you courage while you cry like a baby! And those women are not models they are just doing their job and probably real models and NOT flight attendants are in some of the photos you saw!

Those "Hotties" in the Nineteen Sixties pictures are still working for Delta Airlines. They are in their sixties now.

@dsm93talon and to think that when air services started only men were allowed to be stewards. stewardesses were allowed in later after some women proved they could do the job.

AAlover12121212: Best of luck with your future career! As a nation we once respected Flight Attendants and spoke to them politely. I can see from some of the other comments listed that some either have no manners or have forgotten them. This Traveler will continue to treat Stewardesses/Flight Attendants with the respect they have earned and deserve.

As someone who helped bring hats and gloves back to the largest airline in the world, I am all for going back to looking cute and glamourous...you get more respect, they actually watch your safety demo, and the tips are great! Just my two cents..
